CONSULTING EXPECTATIONS CONTRACT
This contract will provide clarity into the details of our working relationship.
OUR ROLE
As your business consultants, we are here to guide your team through strategy, implementation, and accountability. Our program is designed to help you design a business, create a business plan, apply for a startup loan, and complete the regulatory steps and processes necessary to start up your business, so we are always happy to review and provide feedback, but we are not here to do the work for you.
Your consultant will, at times, suggest paid tools, specialists and solutions if needed to help set up your business. While we will advise a number of tools, strategies, and tactics, you are ultimately responsible for which strategies you choose to invest your resources into and the execution.
We are not a magic bullet for obtaining business success. In the short term, we will help you build the foundations for launching your new business. And if you work with us over time, we will be able to work towards both short and long-term goals. We will focus only on foundational-level strategies to start you off to avoid information overload and excessive complexity, but as you grow, we can help you build on these foundations by providing advanced strategies. We will also help you connect with other specialists to build your business as you grow.
Consulting Services Provided During the Program
In our premium program, you will meet each week with a consultant.
You will meet weekly in a cohort-based group to review action items completed during the previous week. These meetings will be a standing appointment on the same day/time each week unless previous arrangements have been made to reschedule.
Outside of your weekly meeting, you’ll also have 24-hour access to course material and templates.
Weekly meetings are structured to assist clients with the action items completed during the respective week. This means that meetings cannot be transferred to another week. However, if our consultant misses or needs to reschedule a meeting, we promise to make it up to you.
EMAIL SUPPORT
We aim to always get back to our clients within 2-3 business days. We expect the same from our clients when we need to get in touch with them.
If you are instructed to send us material to review between weekly meetings, we will review it ahead of time and provide feedback at the next meeting.
COMMUNICATION
We ask you and your team to be coachable. For our consulting relationship to be successful, we ask that you are open to trying new things or testing new ways of working.
We have a culture of respect at ZeroBlue, so we ask that you and your team always communicate with the ZeroBlue team in a respectful way, both verbally and written. We promise to do the same.
We ask you to always be respectful when using the ZeroBlue Hub on Mighty Networks. We hold a zero-tolerance policy for disrespectful behavior in our community. It is expected that all members communicate respectfully and treat others with dignity. Not doing so could lead to the automatic termination of the contract and expulsion from the community without a refund.
At times, we will be direct and bold if we see your business is moving in the wrong direction or if a choice you are making may have negative consequences. If we are routinely meeting without any progress being made in between calls, your consultant may choose to pause the program in the best interest of your outcome.
THE CONTRACT
By purchasing or participating in this program, I am confirming that agree with each of the following statements:
☐ I understand ZeroBlue is not a done-for-you startup company. They will help me design a business, create a business plan, and apply for a startup loan, but my consultant will not do the tasks for me.
☐ I understand that my consultant may recommend freelancers or contractors who do not work for ZeroBlue, and therefore, ZeroBlue does not guarantee the quality of service or end results provided by these recommended specialists.
☐ I understand that I will be the individual actually carrying out the tasks recommended by the consultant. Their job is to guide me through the process but not complete the work.
☐ I understand that my consultant will suggest paid solutions, and I am responsible for choosing to implement the strategies, and I should be prepared for these financial investments.
☐ I understand that meetings are non-transferrable from week to week and that any meeting I miss will be forfeited.
☐ I understand that my consultant has other clients and will respond within 2-3 business days. My consultant cannot always respond immediately. I will also respond to my consultant or coordinator within 2-3 business days.
☐ I understand my consultant will help me ideate, review, or edit my action items DURING my weekly meetings, not by email or outside of weekly meetings.
☐ I understand the terms of my engagement with ZeroBlue are for only one company.
☐ I give my consultant permission to be direct and bold with me.
☐ I understand that any disrespectful behavior inside the community can lead to an automatic termination with no refund.
☐ I understand that there are no quick fixes or magic buttons to business success, and it will take time and strategy modifications to see results.
☐ I understand that all decisions within my company are exclusively mine and I acknowledge that my decisions and my actions regarding them are my sole responsibility.
